Observation Hours for Therapy Students
icare Rehabilitation welcomes Therapy students to come and observe as much of our daily departmental operations and our patient treatments/evaluations that are accessible to you. The therapist will let you know of any specific treatments of patients that are not appropriate for non-employee observation on a case by case basis.
We encourage you to always ask questions throughout your observation time at our facility. We are here to provide a positive experience for you to allow you to reach your goals of becoming a licensed OT, PT or SLP.
Therapy Department Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Dress Code: Casual Dress - No Open toed shoes, no shorts, no jeans/denim.
Things to know:
It is your responsibility to track your own observation hours. Then once your observation hours are completed one of our full time therapists will be happy to sign off on them for you.
Unfortunately, the therapists will not be able to provide official recommendation letters for OT/PT/SLP schools for observation only students. Due to the fact that we are only supervising your observation hours and for such a short amount of time/days it is difficult for the therapists to write a recommendation letter and address all aspects of someone’s character, work ethic, and critical thinking based on our time with you.
